Our sled dogs are a part of of our family.
At the Comstock Kennel we believe that excellent dog care is the most important part of what we do. Our dogs are working dogs, they are sled dogs, but they are also out family. A healthy diet, access to appropriate shelter, enrichment activities, and medical services are just some of what we provide for our dogs. We understand that sled dogs lives look a little different than other types of dogs. If you ever have questions as to why we do things the way we do, please feel free to reach out and ask.
Here at the Comstock Kennel we love to teach, mentor and inspire new mushers of all ages. We love to share the joy of mushing with people who just want to take a sled dog ride or are interested in becoming mushers themselves one day. We also believe it is important to mentor the next generation of mushers. The Comstock Kennel helps run the local 4 H Mushing Program for kids 5-17.
There is always adventure to be had ,the second we step out our door. At the Comstock Kennel we love being a part of that adventure and enjoy it even more when the dogs are involved. We feel lucky and grateful to live where we live and to do what. we do and we want to share that sense of adventure and wonder with people.
